Ladder 95 along with Rescue 95, Engine 95 and Ambulance 939 were dispatched to 201-203 Church St.  in Taylor .  The call came in as  a reported smell of gas in the residence. Rescue 95 arrived and found a smoke condition from the chimney and heavy smoke in the basement.    Engine 95 established a water supply. L:adder 95 and  Rescue 95 found the source of the smoke to be a malfunctioning oil furnace . The furnace was shut down and Ladder 95 crews ventilated the structure.  Crews operated on scene for a 1/2 hour.  Amercian Red Cross was also on scene, but were not needed since no residents were displaced.
